Christmas card and handprint Christmaspoem – the perfect gift for grandparents

Dansk:
Det lyder sådan her:

For at i hver jul huske må,

English:
In my search on Pinterest for cute Christmas projects that I could do with my daughter Fraya and her little friend Agnes, I came across a picture of a Santa Claus where his beard was made of a child’s handprint. Here is my (and Agnes’) version.
It was perfect to use as a Christmas card from Agnes to her parents. But what to write so in such a card? I found the sweetest Christmas handprint poem in English, and have even translated it into Danish. You are very welcome to use it.
It sounds like this:

“These little prints you’ve seen before,
On walls, on glass and on every door.
This time these prints are not a mess,
They were made for you my very best.
My prints so small this holiday season,
Placed here for you for one special reason.
A reminder today of Christmas’s past,
That prints so small cannot last.
I’ll grow up but you will always remember,
How small I once was this day in December.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too,
My little prints are my gift to you!”
